TPC at Sugarloaf in Deluth, GA

What a treat it was yesterday as I got to play the TPC at Sugarloaf, site of this years PGA tour Bell South Classic that took place just last week. It's the first time that I've played a golf course set up for a PGA tour event with the pins in the Sunday position (the Sunday pin is typically on the toughest part of the green for you non golfers) from the tournament still and the fairways, greens, and tee boxes still perfectly manicured and in the best condition I have ever seen any golf course. Another thing that was really neat is they have 27 holes at the course and we were able to play the 9 holes that weren't used for the tournament to see how much differently they set the course up for the PGA tour boy's...The greens were much faster on the tournament side but even more noticeable than that they were extremely hard, almost like concrete unlike any I have ever played. Another big difference is the bunkers, they have completely different sand and are manicured such that it is very hard for your ball to plug, and most of the time the ball roles to the center flat portion of sand where the lie is perfect. The most exciting thing for me however was a sneak preview of what I have to look forward to once I am an exempt member of the PGA tour. I put a few pictures in of the beautiful course and me playing it... For those of you who watched the event last week on TV the shot's of me are me hitting my approach into the 440 yard par four first hole...Also me hitting my tee shot on the par five fourth hole... The other picture is of the ninth a tough 480 yard par four that doglegs hard left.
